('McIntosh' x 'Jersey Black') New York, 1923. Aromatic, 'McIntosh'-type dessert apple. Medium-sized, dark purple-red fruit. Flesh white, firm and very high quality. Crisp texture and well-balanced flavor. Good for eating. Fruit tends to drop when ripe. Ripens mid-season, good pollinator for early to late season ripening apples.
