The Florist at Mandy's Spring Nursery is seeking an experienced and creative floral designer to join our team. Responsibilities include creating aesthetically-pleasing custom & standardized arrangements, maintaining an organized and attractive florist shop as part of our larger garden center, and budgeting and placing orders for flowers, houseplants, and floral goods.
Our ideal candidate is a seasoned floral designer who is able to keep current with emerging floral trends. You are creative, organized, and great at customer service. Experience with point of sales systems and phone orders is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Create both standardized & custom arrangements for a number of occasions--including but not limited to weddings, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, sympathy florals, and winter holidays.
- Place floral, houseplant, and floral goods orders with distributers to meet demand.
- Budget & plan for holidays and special occasions to ensure customer demands are consistently met.
- Organize & arrange florist area to create an aesthetically pleasing shopping experience.
- Answer phones & process orders with assistance from our customer service team.
Requirements:
- Proven floral design experience. 5 years of floral design experience preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Experience managing a floral department or florist shop preferred but not required.
- Ability to create aesthetically-pleasing designs both freeform and using existing templates and standards.
- Ability to budget and plan to meet customer demand.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Experience processing orders through a POS system preferred but not required.
Compensation:
$20-28/hour, depending on experience.
Flexible hours if demands are met.
Landscape & Hardscape Assistant Manager
We are seeking mature and skilled professional individual to serve as assistant manager for our landscape design/build operations. Job Description: Assist with project planning and layout; provide technical assistance and guidance to laborers and crewmembers to keep project on track and proceeding according to plan; provide skilled labor such as layout, carpentry work, equipment work and etc. to help keep project moving, provide oversight and reporting to ensure project profitability. Collaborate with home owners , crew members and other trades to ensure an efficient and enjoyable workflow and ultimately an excellent finished product.
Projects are typically multifaceted, and include all or some of the elements of patios, walls, pools and spas, steps, plantings, garden structures, irrigation, lighting and fencing.
Non traditional / Semi Retired / Female / Veteran / Spanish Speaking persons are encouraged to apply. Other requirements / Desired qualities: You must enjoy working outside, enjoy working with a team, and be able to interact /communicate comfortably with our clients. Individuals with experience in concrete construction, sitework, line and grade, carpentry, dry-laid stonework, stone masonry/brick/block work, landscape work, excavator and skid loader operation are encouraged to apply.
This is a year round position. We do not plow snow, but rather continue our construction work through the winter months as appropriate. In most cases, the successful applicant of for this position would be provided with a company vehicle.

Landscape Project Manager-Spanish Speaking
We are seeking a bilingual person fluent in English and Spanish to help us manage our 4 - 6 international crews. APPLICANTS MUST BE US CITIZEN OR CURRENT VALID GREEN CARD HOLDER. We employ between 10 and 20 seasonal H2A and H2B visa workers; mostly from Mexico, to help us complete our nursery harvest and landscaping projects. Fluency in Spanish, excellent communication skills and strong construction project management skills are must-have. Experience in landscape and hardscape installation is a big plus, but we are willing and able to train you in the specifics of our trade if your are otherwise qualified. Competency with standard general workplace technology is a must-have, including and not limited to timekeeping apps, communications apps, email and spreadsheets. Relocation assistance available. Requirements:

Mandy's Spring Nursery is seeking an Office Assistant to help in filing, sorting, and organizing paperwork for our growing landscaping & nursery business. The Office Assistant will also be responsible for answering the phones and assisting in the retail space when needed.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and great interpersonal skills. Customer service experience is a plus, as is experience in the Microsoft suite of products. As part of a small but efficient team, work varies often but is always interesting.
